I have been so blessed through the years to lead and participate in Mission Trips all over the world! Of course, part of the work is to come home and share the story with as many people as possible. This reminds the congregation that supports and mission team that they were part of the accomplishments. It also encourages others to participate in future trips and to give to support such faith adventures.
This video is about a trip we did to Luperone in the Dominican Republic with the Village Mountain Mission program:

Of course, doing mission close to home is also important. One great program that we grew out of Heifer International's fundraising model is the "Living Gift Market". We do this at the beginning of Advent and encourage people to "give gifts that gift twice." Heifer and Serrv are the heart of the event, but through the years, we have allowed a lot of our local mission partners to come and participate. Some sell products. Others give gift cards for donations given in someone's honor. We asked our youth to make a "commercial" explaining the concept. I love the results!
